n early November (November 1-10) this year, the average price in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar increased by RMB 112.8/mt ($15.7/mt) or 3.0 percent to RMB 3,835.5/mt ($534/mt), compared to prices in late October (October 21-31), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
In the given period, the average price of wire rod, medium plate, hot rolled coil (HRC) and angles rose by 3.0 percent, 2.2 percent, 2.2 percent and 2.5 percent, respectively, though the average price of seamless steel pipes declined by 0.5 percent, all compared to late October.
