Mycron increases quality of CR coils

Malaysian steel producer Mycron Steel Bhd plans to increase quality of its cold rolled coil products with the purpose of increasing its sales to service centers by 60% by January 2006. The sales to service centers currently amount 45% of total sales of Mycron. Mycron officials stated that, through increasing cold rolled coil quality, the company will be able to enter domestic roofing industry, which mainly depends on imported cold rolled coils. With the purpose of increasing the quality of cold rolled coils, the company has invested total RM8 million ($2.1 million) so far.
