MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.6 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (April 15-21) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.6 percent week on week.  

In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar and hot rolled steel strip edged up by 0.9 percent, 0.7 percent and 0.5 percent, respectively, week on week.   

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China moved down by 0.2 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of coking coal and thermal coal edged down by 0.5 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, while the price of anthracite coal moved sideways, week on week.

 In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China rose by 0.1 percent week on week.
