MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.5 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (March 4-10) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.5 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar and welded steel pipe in China rose by 0.6 percent, 0.6 percent and 0.4 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 0.1 percent week on week. In the week in question, the average price of coal in China increased by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of thermal coal and coking coal moved up by 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, while the price of anthracite coal edged down by 0.3 percent, week on week.
