MOC: Average finished steel price in China moves sideways

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (June 18-24) the overall average finished steel price in China moved sideways week on week.  

In the given week, average prices of seamless steel pipe, common round bar, hot rolled steel sheet in China respectively rose by 0.2 percent, 0.1 percent and 0.1 percent week on week, while average prices of I-beam steel and common steel plate respectively decreased by 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent week on week. 

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged down by 2.4 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni > = 99.2%) decreased by 0.5 percent compared to the previous week. 

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China increased by 0.2 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of anthracite coal and thermal coal moved up by 0.1 percent and 0.3 percent respectively, while the price of coking coal edged down by 0.3 percent, week on week.
