MOC: Average finished steel price in China moves down slightly

On June 24, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (June 16-22) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 0.2 percent compared to the previous week.

In the given week, the average prices of H-section steel, channel steel and rebar in China decreased by 0.5 percent, 0.4 percent and 0.4 percent week on week, respectively.

In the given week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 0.1 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) declined by 0.7 percent week on week.

In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China declined by 1.3 percent week on week. The average prices of brown coal, bituminous coal and anthracite coal were down 2.5 percent, 1.3 percent and 1.0 percent on week-on-week basis.
