MOC: Average finished steel price in China edges up slightly

On June 4, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (May 26-June 1) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.1 percent compared to the previous week.

In the given week, the average prices of rebar and hot rolled strip in China both increased by 0.3 percent week on week, respectively.

In the given week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 0.6 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) declined by 4.7 percent week on week.

In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China remained stable week on week. The average prices of brown coal, bituminous coal and anthracite coal were all unchanged compared to the previous week.
