China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (October 30-November 5) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 0.2 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of steel channel, common steel plate, hot rolled steel strip and high-speed wire rod in China decreased by 0.8 percent, 0.5 percent, 0.4 percent and 0.2 percent, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged down by 0.7 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) increased by 4.8 percent compared to the previous week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China declined by 0.3 percent week on week. In particular, prices of coking coal, thermal coal and anthracite coal decreased by 0.8 percent, 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively, all compared to the previous week.
