MMZ issues January-October output data

Moldavian Metallurgical Plant (MMZ) has announced its production results for the January-October period of the current year.
 
During the period in question, MMZ produced 325,515 mt of steel billets - down 59 percent, and 338,736 mt of finished steel products - down 54 percent, both compared to January-October 2008. MMZ's deliveries in the first ten months decreased by 55 percent year on year to 328,434 mt, including 166,823 mt to non-CIS countries and 161,611 mt to CIS countries. The producer's deliveries of special grade steel products amounted to 44,941 mt during the period in question.

In October this year, MMZ produced 73,172 mt of steel billets and 65,638 mt of finished steel products, including 28,647 mt of bars and 36,991 mt of rods.

MMZ's October deliveries amounted to 55,357 mt, including 30,605 mt to non-CIS countries and 24,752 mt to CIS countries.
