All preparatory work for the construction of the new slab caster was concluded in July, while the delivery of equipment is expected to start in September of the current year.
The new slab caster, for which an area of 875,000 sq. m has been allocated, is intended to satisfy the slab needs of MMK's new plate mill 5000 (also currently under construction).
