The Russian steel producer Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has announced that within the implementation of its program for the acceptance of its automotive sheet by foreign car and automotive components producers, in 2010 it has developed and put into production new production technologies of high-strength steel products.
As a result of mastering new technologies, MMK has produced under western standards experimental batches of hot rolled (S355MC under DIN EN 10149-2:1995), cold rolled (HC340LA under DIN EN 10268:2006), and galvanized (HX300LAD and HX340LAD under DIN EN 10292:2007) high-strength steel products. Samples of these products have been sent for acceptance to such car and automotive components producers such as DiPOS, Benteler, Volkswagen AG and Renault.
MMK said that it will continue the implementation of its program for the acceptance of its automotive sheet by foreign car and automotive components producers, and plans the production of a new type of high-strength steel product soon.
