Mittal Steel Poland starts production at new HRC mill

Mittal Steel Poland, a subsidiary of the world's largest steel producer ArcelorMittal has commenced production at its new hot rolled coil mill at its Cracow facility.

The new hot rolled coil mill, which is the most modern in Europe, was supplied and installed by Siemens Metal Technology.

The new unit has a designed annual production capacity of 2.4 million metric tons of steel strip in thicknesses ranging from 1.2 mm to 25.4 mm.
