Mittal Steel announces Q3 production reduction

Mittal Steel announced today that it has decided to reduce its global steel production by 1 million tons in the third quarter due to lower demand. This follows similar reductions that the company made in the second quarter. The production cuts will be split equally among Mittal's North American operations, European operations, and operations in the rest of the world.
