Mittal presents Arcelor takeover plan to Luxembourg

Mittal Steel has presented its detailed industrial plan for the proposed takeover of rival steelmaker Arcelor to the government of Luxembourg. Luxembourg government states in its announcement that they will study and evaluate the plan on a technical level, taking into account economical, financial and social conditions. The government of Luxembourg, which owns 5.6 percent of Arcelor, opposed the Mittal Steel's offer.
