Liberty Liege-Dudelange, subsidiary of international metals and industrial Liberty House, has confirmed that its three sites at Flémalle, Tilleur and Dudelange are closed as of March 21. Finished products ready for the customers will still be shipped.

The closure is due to high absenteeism in the workforce rather than any specific infection or demand issues, SteelOrbis understands.

Last week, Liberty also suspended operations at its Magona plant in Italy.
