Mexico’s ICH goes from loss to profit in Q4

Mexican steelmaker Industrias CH (ICH) went from a net loss of MXN 438 million ($22.3 million) in Q4 2017 to post a net profit of MXN 842 million ($42.9 million) in Q4 2018, the company said while releasing its quarterly results.

EBITDA in Q4 dropped 23 percent, year-on-year, to MXN 1.10 billion ($56.1 million). Net revenues in Q4 reached MXN 10.3 billion ($525.5 million), 25 percent up, year-on-year. Steel sales volumes in Q4 totaled 574,000 mt, stable from 573,000 mt in Q4 2017.

As for the full year of 2018, ICH posted a net profit of MXN 4.54 billion ($231.6 million), 135 percent up, year-on-year.
