LNM submits an offer for Huta Staly Czestochowa

According to latest industry reports, the Dutch group LNM has already submitted an offer for Poland largest steel plate producer Huta Staly Czestochowa (HSC) on August 29, 2003. In addition, LNM has also mentioned to the Polish Treasury Ministry that it is planning to acquire the assets of HSC as well as its stakes from TF Silesia. LNM's annual steel capacity will increase to 40 million tons if the company succeeds in purchasing HSC. The company has also signed an agreement with Polish Treasury Ministry to acquire Polskie Huty Stali (PHS).
