LianYuan Steel's 2007 crude steel output hits 4.54 million mt

Hunan Province-based LianYuan Steel has announced the successfully accomplishment of its production targets for 2007.

The producer's output for last year totaled 4.54 million mt of crude steel, 4.27 million mt of iron, and 4.33 million mt of finished steel plus externally-sold semi-finished steel. These figures are up 4.85 percent, 3.54 percent and 5.82 percent respectively year on year.

Furthermore, the mill achieved RMB 16 billion ($2.2 billion) in sales revenues and earned $220 million from exports over the whole year, exceeding the originally targets and breaking the historical annual records.
