LianYuan Steel releases ex-factory prices for flats

On December 29, 2007, Hunan Province-based LianYuan Steel issued new ex-factory prices for its flat products. The details are as follows:

HR:

The ex-factory prices remained unchanged. As a result, the new price of 2.75 mm thick Q235 HRC is RMB 4,950/mt ($679/mt), while that of 5.5 mm thick Q235 HRC is RMB 4,780/mt ($656/mt).

CR:

The ex-factory prices increased RMB 50/mt ($7/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm thick SPCC CRC is RMB 5,550/mt ($761/mt).

Full Hard

The ex-factory prices increased RMB 100/mt ($14/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm thick SPCC Full Hard is at RMB 5,030/mt ($690/mt).

The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of January 1, 2008.
