Lianyuan Steel increases flats prices

On October 16, 2006, Hunan province-based LianYuan Steel adjusted its ex-factory prices. The ex-factory price of HR increased RMB 70/mt ($9). After adjustment, the new base price of 2.75 mm Q235 HR is RMB 4,140/mt ($523); while that of 5.5 mm Q235 HR is RMB 3,910/mt ($494) The ex-factory price of CR increased RMB 50/mt ($6); that of GI increased RMB 30/mt ($4). After adjustment, the new base price of 1.0 mm SPCC CR is RMB 4,590/mt ($580); while that of 1.0 mm ST012 GI is RMB 5,350/mt ($676). The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of October 16.
