On August 16, Hunan Province-based LianYuan Steel adjusted ex-factory prices for some products. The details are as follows:
HR:
The ex-factory prices increased RMB 150/mt ($20/mt). As a result, the new price of 3.0 mm thick Q235 HRC is RMB 4,100/mt ($540/mt), while that of 5.5 mm thick Q235 HRC is RMB 3,960/mt ($522/mt).
CR:
The ex-factory prices increased RMB 80/mt ($11/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm thick SPCC CRC is RMB 4,700/mt ($619/mt).
HDG:
The ex-factory prices rose RMB 50/mt ($7/mt). Following the adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm thick ST01 HDG is RMB 4,940/mt ($651/mt).
Hot rolled strip:
The ex-factory prices increased RMB 50/mt ($7/mt). Thus, the new price of 183 mm x 2.75 mm Q235 hot rolled strip is RMB 3,760/mt ($495/mt).
Angles:
The ex-factory prices of unequal angle went up RMB 50/mt ($7/mt). The new price of Q235 5# Unequal Angle is RMB 3,695/mt ($487/mt).
Channel steel:
The ex-factory prices increased RMB 50/mt ($7/mt). After the adjustment, the new price of Q235 10#a channel steel is RMB 3,750/mt ($494/mt).
The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of August 16, 2007.
