Large Chinese industrial enterprises see RMB 3,882.8 billion profit in Jan-Nov

According to a statement issued by China's Ministry of Industry and Information (MIIT) on December 26, the aggregate profit of Chinese large-scale industrial enterprises in the January-November period of the current year increased by 49.4 percent to RMB 3,882.8 billion ($586 billion). Meanwhile, in the given period, Chinese large-scale industrial enterprises realized operating revenues of RMB 62,445.1 billion ($9,418.6 billion), up by 31.8 percent year on year.

Among the main 39 domestic industrial sectors in January-November this year, the profits of 38 sectors increased on year-on-year basis, with just one sector registering reduced profit. Profits in petroleum and natural gas extraction increased by 65.7 percent, profits in mining and dressing of ferrous metals rose by 1.1 times, profits in smelting and processing of ferrous metals were up by 58.1 percent, profits in transport equipment manufacturing were up by 59.4 percent, profits in communication, computers and other electronic equipment rose by 52 percent, while profits in petroleum refining, coking and nuclear fuel declined by 1.1 percent, all compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
