Laiwu Steel joins Chinese iron ore spot trading platform

Shandong Province-based Chinese steelmaker Laiwu Iron and Steel Corporation (Laiwu Steel) has officially joined China's new iron ore spot trading platform, the China Beijing International Mining Exchange (CBMX), as reported by the Chinese news agency Hexun.

The platform has been established by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) and the China Chamber of Commerce for Importers and Exporters of Metals, Minerals and Chemicals. As a participant in the platform, Laiwu Steel will be able to conclude iron ore spot transactions, as well as access and share the latest market information via the platform.
