On December 1, Laiwu Steel announced its new ex-factory prices for December. The details are as follows:
1-The price of HRB 335 rebar of 16-25 mm diameter was reduced RMB 100/mt ($14.55/mt), while the price of HRB 400 rebar of 16-25 mm diameter is RMB 160/mt ($23.35/mt) higher than HRB 335 rebar of 16-25 mm diameter.
As a result, HRB 335 16-25 mm rebar is now priced at RMB 3,500/mt ($510.54/mt) including VAT.
Meanwhile, Laiwu Steel raised ex-factory prices of HRC. The details are as follows:
2-The price of Q235 HRC of 3.0-11.75 mm thickness was raised RMB 200/mt ($29.15/mt). The price of Q345 HRC is RMB 150/mt ($21.85/mt) higher than that of Q235 of the same size.
As a result, the price of Q235 HRC of 3.0-11.75 mm thickness is now priced at RMB 3,300/mt ($481.75/mt), including VAT.
All the above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective from December 1, 2008 onwards.
