Turkey-based Kibar Holding's sandwich panel producing subsidiary Assan Panel has lately commissioned its color coating line.
SteelOrbis has learned from the company that the new color coating line in question is designed to process 0.25-1.20 mm x 1.500 mm cold rolled and HDG coils, as well as aluminum coils. The color coating line acquired from Park Panel is located in Muallimkoy, Gebze and has an annual capacity of 80,000 mt.
On the other hand, Kibar Holding has recently opened a container port with an annual capacity of 250,000 TEU in Turkey's steel industry dense region of Iskenderun. Kibar's new port, namely ASSAN Port Iskenderun, is the first container port in Iskenderun and also the third in Turkey's Mediterranean coast. The investment in the project totaled $150 million. Kibar Holidng also said that the studies for the further expansion of port's capacity over 400,000 TEU are still on the way.
