Kazakh production in H1

According to the data of Agency of Statistics of the Republic Kazakhstan, the country reduced crude steel production 2.6 percent year on year to 2.055 million tons in the first half-year of 2006. The production of flat rolled steel products grew 15.7 percent to 1.502 million tons during the given period, including 2.7 percent increase in production of tin-plate and tin-plated sheet, and 23.2 percent increase in production of galvanized steel. The output of ferroalloys grew 6.5 percent year on year to 809,624 tons in January-June of 2006.
