Kardemir starts rail shipments to Iran

According to media reports, Mesut Uğur Yılmaz, general manager of Turkish integrated long steel producer Kardemir, has stated that, under the rail sales agreement signed in April this year, Kardemir has supplied the first 10,000 mt of rails to Iran
 
According to the agreement, Kardemir will supply approximately 135,000 mt of rails to Iran, worth about €80 million. Mr. Yılmaz also stated that, apart from Iran, Kardemir wants to supply rails to Europe as well. In this context, the company has started work on the Filyos port project on the Black Sea coast.
