Kardemir continues environmental investments

Turkish integrated long steel producer Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. (Kardemir) has announced that it has signed an agreement with a Turkish industrial ventilators and filtration systems manufacturer for the supply of a new dedusting system for its converter shop. The installation of the new dedusting system is planned to be completed by the end of 2018.

Meanwhile, Kardemir stated that by the end of 2018 it will complete environmental investments of around $50 million in its sinter plant, coke plant, blast furnaces and steel melt shop. The company also stated that as part of these investments it will soon complete the tender process for choosing the contractor company for the supply of new dedusting system for its blast furnaces.
