J&L Specialty Steel hikes prices of stainless steels

According to the recent statement released J&L Specialty Steel, a subsidiary of Arcelor, the company increased prices of stainless steel products by 6% to be in effect as of March 28, 2004. The price increase will be in the form of reduction of discount by 2%. The surcharge policy on raw material and fuel and price schedule dated September 2001 will remain in effect.
