JISCO achieves energy saving target for 2011

Gansu Province-based Chinese steel company Jiugang Steel Group Co. (JISCO) has achieved its energy saving target for 2011, according to the data compiled by the Industry and Information Technology Commission of Gansu Province.

Accordingly, in 2011 JISCO's comprehensive energy consumption per metric ton of steel produced was 647.18 kg of standard coal equivalent, down 12 kg/mt year on year and also 5.4 kg/mt lower than the 652.58 kg/mt required by the provincial government.
