Jindi Mining to build largest manganese-rich slag line in China

On May 11, Shanxi, China-based Jindi Mining Co. officially launched the reconstruction of its manganese-rich slag production line in Lingqiu, Shanxi Province.
 
After the completion of the project, the line is expected to become the largest manganese-rich slag production line in China, with an annual production capacity of 336,000 mt of manganese-rich slag and 56,000 mt of ferromanganese. The energy consumption of the line will be reduced by 50 percent from the current level, saving 4,500 mt of standard coal and seven million kWh per year.
