Japan’s vehicle output rises
A slight recovery in domestic demand led to a 0.4 percent rise in
Japan's vehicle
production in August.
The
Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) disclosed that the country's vehicle output amounted to 701'990 units last month.
Passenger car output rose 2.4 percent year on year to 585'399 units in August, while bus
production jumped 14.1 percent to 5'096 units. On the other hand, truck
production fell 9.7 percent to 111'495 units.
