Japan’s stainless flat steel exports up 21.8% in November

According to statistics released by Japan's Ministry of Finance, Japan's stainless flat steel exports totaled 65,941 metric tons in November 2012, falling by 2.7 percent month on month and up 21.8 percent compared to November 2011.

In the first 11 months of last year, Japan's stainless flat steel exports amounted to 724,303 metric tons, falling by 10.5 percent year on year.

In November last year, Japanese stainless flat steel exports to Taiwan totaled 15,657 metric tons, while exports to South Korea amounted to 14,443 metric tons, increasing by 84.3 percent and 80 percent respectively, both compared to the same month of the previous year. In November 2012, the country's stainless flat steel exports to China amounted to 10,283 mt, down 31.85 percent on year-on-year basis.
