According to statistics released by Japan's Ministry of Finance, Japan's stainless flat steel exports totaled 60,520 metric tons in August this year, declining by 7.2 percent month on month and down 2.5 percent compared to August 2012.
In the first eight months of the current year, Japan's stainless flat steel exports amounted to 498,649 metric tons, falling by 5.8 percent year on year.
In August this year, Japanese stainless flat steel exports to China totaled 9,460 metric tons, down 25.3 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given month Japan's flat steel exports to South Korea amounted to 14,019 metric tons, increasing by 30.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
