ITC institutes sunset review for certain steel sheet from Japan

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) voted yesterday in favor of conducting a full five-year (sunset) review concerning the antidumping duty orders on imports of tin- and chromium-coated steel sheet from Japan. The ITC will use the sunset review to determine whether the revocation of the order would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to US domestic industries. Interested parties are requested to submit their comments on the ITC's decision. Generally, 95 days after the initiation of the review the ITC determines whether the responses indicate adequate interest in a full review. If the responses are adequate, the ITC will conduct a full review, which includes public hearings and questionnaires.
