ITC decision on AD, CVD duties on SS plate from six countries

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) yesterday determined that revocation of the existing countervailing and antidumping duty orders on stainless steel plate from Belgium, Italy, South Korea, South Africa, and Taiwan would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to the US market. On the other hand, the ITC decided that revoking the existing antidumping duty order on the same product from Canada would not likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to the US market. As a result of the ITC's decision and the Department of Commerce's (DOC) affirmative findings, the existing orders on imports of stainless steel plate from Belgium, Italy, South Korea, South Africa, and Taiwan will remain in place, while the existing duty order on the same product from Canada will be revoked.
