Italy’s ASO Siderurgica announces €25 million investment program

 Brescia, Italy-based steel company ASO Siderurgica has reached an agreement with trade unions concerning its investment program for the 2011-14 period.
 
Accordingly, ASO will spend €25 million for the commissioning of an electroslag remelting (ESR) plant, for the upgrading of production equipment at its subsidiary ASO Forge, as well as for the acquisition of industrial sites that will be used for stainless steel production.
