After about a year of preliminaries, including the participation in an international tender, Italian group Rapullino, headed by Tommaso and Luigi Rapullino, has recently signed an agreement for the purchase of Tunisia-based Tunisacier S.A., previously owned by the Ilva Group.

The major investment represents a milestone for Rapullino Group in its international growth process that started some years ago. The Tunisian plant will produce flat rolled steels (i.e., coils). At full capacity, the plant will produce 300,000 mt of steel per year and will employ about 400 people.
