Italian ILVA to set up two HDG lines

Italian steelmaker Riva Group's ILVA SpA has decided to set up two hot dipped galvanized (HDG) lines at its plants in Taranto and Cornigliano and has placed orders for equipment. Both lines are expected to be operational in two year's time. The HDG line in Taranto will have an annual capacity of 650,000 metric tons, while the line in Cornigliano will have an annual capacity of 470,000 metric tons. The galvanized coils in the grades CQ, DQ, DDQ, EDDQ and DP will be utilized primarily in the construction industry and for the manufacture of household appliances.
