Iron & steel ranks first place in Turkey’s September exports

According to the preliminary data issued by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Turkey's overall exports in September reached $12.831 billion in value - up 42 percent, while imports increased to $17.873 billion - up 23.6 percent, compared to the same month last year.

In terms of customs sections, during September of the current year, the largest volume of exports was seen in iron and steel at $1.995 billion, followed by land vehicles, their components and spares at $1.636 billion, mineral fuel and mineral oil at $916 million, machines, mechanical devices, boiler and their components-spares at $879 million, and finally by electrical machines and devices at $821 million.

During the same month, the largest volume of imports was seen in mineral fuels and mineral oil at $4.642 billion, followed by iron and steel at $2.001 billion and machines, devices, boiler and their components-spares at $1.787 billion.
