Iron ore output at Shougang Hierro Peru declines 5 percent in January

Iron ore output at Peruvian only producer Shougang Hierro Peru declined 5 percent in January, year-on-year, according to figures from the nation’s mining ministry.

According to government data, Shougang produced 696,399 mt of the commodity in the first month of the year, down from 733,008 mt in the same period of 2015.

However, January’s iron ore output rose 45.8 percent when compared to the 477,582 mt of the commodity Shougang produced in December.
