Iron ore imports through Caofeidian Port improves by 42 percent in Jan-Aug

According to the data released by Hebei Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, in the first eight months, iron ore import volume and value at Caofeidian port in Tangshan city in China's Hebei Province reached 50 million mt up 42 percent and $7.36 billion up 98 percent respectively, compared to the same period of the previous year.

90 percent iron ore imports in Hebei province come from Australia, Brazil and India. As the data regarding to Caifeidian Port throughput shows, iron ore imports from India reached 9.33 million mt in January-August period, declining 9.26 percent year on year, registering a year on year decline for the sixth month in a row
