Iran's South Rouhina Steel supplies rebar to Iraq for first time

Iran-based steel producer South Rouhina Steel Complex has delivered 500 mt of rebar worth $250,000 to Iraq, marking the first time the steelmaker has supplied rebar to Iraq, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

IRNA stated that South Rouhina Steel Complex in Khouzestan province has the capacity to produce about 500,000 mt of rebar per year and the figure will increase to 3 million mt within two years. The company consisting of two steel rolling mills and a steelmaking factory satisfying domestic needs has the potential to be a major exporter of steel products, according to the news agency.
