Iran's Jalal Abad iron ore mine produced 879,000 mt of iron ore in the first 11 months (21.03.2009-20.02.2010) of the current Iranian year, up 18.5 percent on the 746,000 mt produced in the corresponding period of the previous Iranian year, according to the new figures issued by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
Jalal Abad iron ore mine produced 90,000 mt iron ore in the last Iranian month (21.01-20.02.2010), up 28 percent on the 71,000 mt produced in the same month of last Iranian year, according to the same source.
Jalal Abad iron ore mine is located near Zaran city in the southeastern Iranian province of Kerman.
