According to operational data, in the first four months of the current Iranian year (21.03.2007-20.03.2008), Iran increased its iron ore production by eight percent year on year to 6.46 million metric tons.
Meanwhile, iron ore exports from the country during the period in question increased by 10 percent to 1.4 million metric tons.
