Iran Alloy Steel’s billet output rises by eight percent

Iranian steelmaker Iran Alloy Steel produced about 163,000 metric tons of semi-finished steel (billet) and 147,000 mt of finished steel products in the first seven months of the current Iranian year (started March 21), which represent increases of eight percent and two percent respectively compared to the same period of the last Iranian year, according to the newly published data from the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

Iran Alloy Steel, which has a current annual output capacity of 250,000 mt of alloy steel, expects to increase its capacity by about 80 percent with the commissioning of its new electric arc furnace, ladle furnace and continuous casting machine in a few months' time.
