The Ukrainian pipe producer Interpipe has announced the commissioning of the new anti-corrosive coating line at its subsidiary Interpipe NMPP, which was constructed at a total cost of $8.5 million.
The main equipment for the line was supplied by Netherlands-based global supplier of pipe blasting and coating plants, Selmers Technology B.V.
The new line, with a coating capacity of 400 m2 per hour, will allow Interpipe to produce external anti-corrosive three-layer coatings for both seamless and welded pipes with diameters of up to 530 mm used in the oil and gas industry.
Currently, Interpipe NMPP is able to produce pipes with anti-corrosive three-layer coating according to the following standards: DSTU 4219-2003, DIN 30670, GOST R, API 5L and ASTM.
