Iranian steelmaker Iran National Steel Industrial Group (INSIG) has recently started the construction of its second meltshop with an annual capacity of 400,000 metric tons. The construction is expected to be completed within 14-18 months.

INSIG's existing meltshop, which also has an annual production capacity of 400,000 mt, was commissioned in early 2007.

INSIG, one of the oldest Iranian rolling mills, is located close to Ahwaz city near the Persian Gulf.
