INSIG sees seven percent increase in finished steel output

Iranian steelmaker Iran National Steel Industrial Group (INSIG) produced 512,000 mt of finished steel products (I-beam, rebar, pipe) and 109,751 mt of billet in the first five months (March 21-August 20) of the current Iranian year, up seven percent and 10 percent respectively compared to the same period of the last Iranian year, according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

INSIG, one of the country's oldest rolling mills, is based in the city of Ahwaz close to the Persian Gulf.
