US-based structural steel distributor Infra-Metals announced Friday that its proposed steel distribution center in New Boston, Ohio may be officially underway next week. The project is expected to cost $13 million.

Plans have been in the works for over three years now when Infra-Metals announced December 6, 2007 that it planned to open a New Boston location, however a severe economic downturn not long after the announcement put plans on hold.

Meetings are expected to be held next week with Infra-Metals officials regarding the plant, and construction could begin as soon as this spring.
